Hi, I am trying to change location, as today was suggested during the meeting today. However, when I trigger the location change, I go into a black background with the error “failed to fetch the vrml file at the url https://localhost:8000/download/namelocation.vrml”. (I wanted to upload a foto but I cannot).

You c an only change location when you actually published your work to a server somewhere. What I do to test this feature is I publish to http://localhost and copy the files to my XAMPP Http server to xampp/htdocs/.  Remember to actually start your XAMPP or MOMP server for this to work!

In your change location node, use “external reference” and set the change location call to something like

    http://localhost/my_next_location.vrml

(use the name of your next location).

    This should do the trick.

    Hi,

I  am working WB/PH  on IIS and I need to use  “the change location” action   in the project and now I am trying to check it before publishing to the shop.

I am facing issues with the EmptyWorld.vrml that is  only downloaded and not opened in Portal Hopper, to check how the location change.

Can you provide how can that be configured correctly for IIS ?

MIME types /file extensions have been added for vrml / wbz / wrz / wrl

    Thank you

When creating a custom publishing target, you need to specify the domain/path where your project (.wbz) will be located (for instance http://localhost/myproject for testing). If XR4ED is your publishing target, everything will be set up properly for the shop (in the new release which will be published tomorrow). In the shop, Neofitos will soon add a link which will directly start the Portal Hopper, so you won’t have to download the vrml file.
